While stumbling through the steps to transition her kids from their youth theater beginnings, through industry training and coaching, to agents and managers, and finally on to becoming working, professional actors, Jill saw the tremendous need for a one-stop shop of information for getting started in the business. With her entrepreneurial spirit, her entertainment contacts and her knowledge of the value of a parent's time, she was inspired to meet this need. So, Hollywood Jumpstart was created as a one-day seminar/workshop to help "jumpstart" young careers. Inspired by hard earned knowledge, Hollywood Jumpstart brings together, at one time and place, an impressive guest panel of industry professionals who can provide the valuable information, training & services to help make your acting career a success. |

JILL DE FOREST
Co-founder of Hollywood Jumpstart A Southern California native and long-time Manhattan Beach resident, Jill has been in recruitment for 20 years. In 1985 Jill started Sawyer & Associates Personnel Services. One year later she opend both De Forest & Associates and De Forest Search Partners which specialize in the placement of entertainment executives. Jill and her husband, Steve, are major sponsors of Life Through Art Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to funding educational opportunities young students in the arts. |

STEVE DE FOREST Co-founder of Hollywood Jumpstart A Southern California native, Steve is a sales and marketing exec and is the Senior V.P. of De Forest & Associates, an internationally recognized executive recruitment firm specializing in entertainment. He is married to Jill De Forest and is the father of three children all of whom are actively involved in the entertainment and acting business.. A professional actor and model, Steve is the founding member of MB Players, a Manhattan Beach non-profit theatrical company. |
